Here are few stories sent from our volunteers who have helped in the classroom.
"One of the students told me she had to go to the doctor because her baby sister had bitten her tongue (ouch)...I told her I would pray for her. Well this just opened up a can of worms... each one of the students in my group began to share something that I could pray for them also. The list of request ranged from: a sick grandma, family pet that had died, for an older sister that got beat up by her boyfriend. It just breaks my heart that they have these worldly hurts at such a young age. They all wrote their names down on a piece of paper which now hangs on my office wall."
"One studnet in particular that registered later in the school year and has social issues (mostly brought on himself), gave me a piece of paper with his name and phone number on it. He wanted to know if I could come over and play during the weekend. He said he didn't have friends. I told him I would pray that he would make friends at school and even have a best friend. He smiled so big it melted my heart."
