Westside Church of God will be taking on a second school to serve in their community. This past year they started a Saturday Sports program at Sunset elementary under the leadership of Marcel Woodruff. That ministry has thrived over the course of the school year. Marcel said, "We are extremely grateful for the relationships that have formed between the members of our congregation and the families in the community, as well as the numerous ministerial opportunities that have been presented…

On Wednesday, March 24th a life group spent their evening working on a project in downtown Fresno, and they brought a lot of their friends with them. It's amazing what a group of people can accomplish in a few hours, and the amount of conversation and fellowship that can take place while blessing a family who is making a difference in a broken neighborhood. Projects like this are just one aspect of Community Outreach - where a partnership church reaches out into the neighborhood to meet a…

On this beautiful Saturday in March the kids at West Fresno's Saturday Sports went on a "field trip" and walked a few blocks for a tour of the local Recyling Center. It was very educational for them to see where those trucks take all the trash from our blue recycling cans, and then what they do with it after that. A great group of volunteers went along and were able to enjoy the tour along with the kids. Pretty sure everyone will think about garbage a little differently…

Family Joy and Northwest churches hosted their weekly Saturday Sports outreach this past weekend at Addams Elementary, but there was a little more "buzz" going on due to a distribution of First 5 Fresno donations to ENP.
Volunteers from both churches organized several stations where families who had children ages 5 years and younger could receive diapers, coats and a bag of nonperishable food.
Approximately 47 families were blessed. This is the kind of outreach that strenthens…

Leaders talked, worked together, brainstormed, drew pictures, and thought through what works and what doesn't. When people left, they took with them a lot of great infomation that they will…
