King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church was in the middle of a remodel project and needed a little extra help, so ENP stepped in to help manage the project with volunteers from the church and community pitching in to help.
This past Saturday there were sixty people
there to help wherever needed. You could hear the sounds of hammers, saws and energetic volunteers all morning. Members of the church were making a physical investment in their church as well as taking good care of the volunteers with an ample supply of water and lunch for everyone at the end of the morning.
About 35 of the volunteers came from Fresno Urban internship.
When this remodel is done, the building will be completed and the parking lot finished with new lighting that will be of great value in providing a safer neighborhood.
ENP has been working together with Habitat for Humanity and the Mary Ella Brown Neighborhood Center on neighborhood revitalization projects in the West Fresno Elementary Community . . . . and we look forward to working alongside King Solomon Church with their heart to be a valuable resource in this neighborhood
