During the summer months, community engagement is a big part of our partnerships' outreaches. This past Saturday there were two impactful block parties that were a blessing to our city.
In southwest Fresno, St. Rests Church blocked off the street to host a family-oriented day. There was live music, face painting and even a dunk tank. The kids were having a great time with all the activities while the parents were engaged in healthy conversations with each other. There were many smiling faces.
In central Fresno, ROCC Church hosted a positive message concert and BBQ at Holmes Playground. This was not only a blessing for the residents but also a tribute to James Garcia, brother of Pastor Ricardo Garcia from ROCC. James was killed on June 30th What a great way to honor a loved one by bringing joy to the masses! All rooted in love!
