Another Neighborhood Celebration

This block party took place at Toby Lawless Elementary where Northpointe Church has been hosting a Saturday Sports Program once a month.  On Saturday, July 23rd, however Northpointe brought about 100 volunteers, and joining forces with *Bringing Broken Neighborhoods Back to Life, filling the the campus with activities for everyone. Men of Promise provided music, while men from West Side Church of God barbequed hot dogs for everyone.  They had lots of great games and activities for kids, a police office in a dunk tank and a free bike repair station.  It was great to see the whole community come together and enjoy the day.

Northpointe is committed to this neighborhood and now a lot more of the people know them a little better.  At the next Saturday Sports the kids will be glad to be back, and volunteers from Northpointe who served at the Block Party may want to come back for more fun, too!

It will be exciting to watch this partnership continue to grow.

They view the City and it's surrounding communities as one community, with the common goal to promote healing and establish as positive future FREE of violence and filled with a feeling of security, where families prosper and children reach their fullest potential.
