More than 200 volunteers from Clovis Hills & El Encino made their Faithful Feet Ministry a huge success this year! They accepted donations, organized shoes and socks, planned, prepared and served. There was a smile on every face that morning as hundreds of kids received a pair of new shoes and socks, and a free lunch, too!
Michelle Pellerin, said that one of the highlights of the day was seeing some of the neighborhood kids serving at the event. These are kids that attend Saturday Sports at Sequoia Middle School and participate in the After School Tutoring Program at El Encino Baptist Church. "Eventually these kids started to attend the youth program at El Encino and were able to go to camp last year, where they accepted Christ! This is what it’s all about!"
It is a blessing to see these two churches working together, making a huge impact on this neighborhood; to see the lives that are being touched and the blessing they are to the children, the families and the schools!
