Marcel and a team of men from Westside Church of God spent the better part of a week working on a home to make it more livable for a family in the Sunset neighborhood. They raised the floor, poured a new foundation and replaced an entire exterior wall. This was NOT a minor repair job. Last year, a life group from The Well began working on this home. Since then, Westside partnered with Sunset and have stepped in to continue the work.
One of the children that lives in the house attends school at Sunset as well as the Saturday Sports Program there. The same people she sees at Saturday Sports are now blessing her family in a very meaningful way. These are things this little girl will remember!
It's exciting to watch God open doors and provide opportunities for new relationships with people from the church, at the school and in the neighborhood. Marcel and the team from Westside are already very involved and continue to look for opportunities for their church to be be a part of the lives of their neighbors, providing avenues for the church to come alongside their community. It's a great partnership!
