Northpark Church was ready for whoever showed up for their first day of Saturday Sports at Leavenworth! You never know what to expect on a cold Saturday morning in December. It could have been 5 kids - or 50! It was neither!
More than 75 kids showed up along with 20+ parents. Northpark volunteers showed up in force with lots of great activities prepared, and the kids LOVED IT! They all enjoyed the sack lunch and everyone got something because Northpark made a run to the store to pick up some extra food for the crowd they had not expected. What a great problem to have.
January won't come too soon for these kids and families, and Northpark has a bigger opportunity to serve in the Leavenworth neighborhood.
