You would have thought there was a BMX bike show going on at Easterby Elementary last Saturday with all the kids and bikes on campus! It was Bike Repair Day and the Saturday Sports team from The Well - Southeast Campus hosted a Bike Repair and a BBQ. It was a huge success! The team of guys fixed over 30 bikes throughout the day! This included flat tires, brakes, seats and general tune-ups. The team also set up a volleyball net and had hot dogs and cokes for those that wanted to hang out and enjoy a Saturday afternoon together!
Thanks to an on campus announcement by Easterby, principal Greg Brock-Jones kids that have never been a part of Saturday Sports came out to see what it was all about and were able to get their bikes repaired, too. What a GREAT WAY to bless kids in ANY neighborhood!
