This past weekend volunteers put a new roof on this Community Center in the Teague Neighborhood that will soon be filled with lots of children.
This double wide trailer is set up with several classrooms filled with lots of books and supplies that will be needed beginning this week when they expect to have about 50 kids attending the summer school program. This is a place they can learn and spend time, and best of all, they know the people there care about them. Central Community Church has done an amazing job connecting with the children at Teague Elementary in the afterschool program and at this Community Center. This is a beautiful example of Neighborhood Presence and it's exciting to see The Church take such an active role in this community and to give the kids such an amazing place to be during the summer!
