Literacy Mentoring
Help a Child Learn to Read. Change a Life.
Right now, only
%
of 6th graders in our city are reading at grade level when they enter junior high.
That’s a gap we can close—together.
Join ENP as a Literacy Mentor
Help young students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed. You’ll work one-on-one with children during the school day, coming alongside teachers to support early reading—starting with the basics and growing from there.
No teaching experience? No problem. We’ll train and equip you with everything you need—from flashcards and games to simple reading strategies that work.
As a Literacy Mentor, you’ll:
- Support K–6 students in reading, fluency, and comprehension
- Build real, lasting relationships
- Witness meaningful progress and growth over the year
- Be part of something bigger than yourself
The Commitment:
- Just 1–2 hours a week
- 1 day a week, during school hours
For one semester (or longer if you’d like!)
We believe in these kids—and we believe in you.
Are you ready to make a difference?
Say yes to literacy. Say yes to a child.
Become a Literacy Mentor today.
