For over 15 years, Every Neighborhood Partnership (ENP) has been a catalyst for change in Fresno through community-driven initiatives empowering residents to transform their own neighborhoods and schools. Now, we’re excited to take our commitment to the next level with the purchase of our very own building!
This building will be a dedicated space where we can continue to activate, equip, mobilize, and transform our city. This milestone is more than just acquiring a physical space; it’s about building a future where every neighborhood in Fresno thrives.
Why Do We Need This Space?
As ENP’s reach and impact have grown, so have our needs. We have outgrown the office space on L street we are currently renting. Our staff shares work areas, and our training sessions for college students, volunteers, and community members often have to be held off site due to space limitations. We know firsthand—and from our work with other local organizations—that finding affordable, large enough spaces to host events in Fresno can be a challenge. This building will change that.
With this new facility, we will finally have a space that meets our needs and allows us to better serve the community. Individual offices, communal working areas, and a large meeting space capable of accommodating up to 100 people will enable us to host and conduct more impactful events and training sessions (such as our Community Land Use Academy or orientations for college students leading ENP School Support programs!) A fully functional kitchen will also enhance our ability to provide meals and snacks during these gatherings, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
The Vision: A Space for the Community
We believe this new space is crucial to living out our mission and expanding our impact in Fresno. As a trusted convener and trainer, ENP has established itself as a pillar in the community. With this building, we’re not just creating a space for ourselves; we’re creating a space for everyone.
This next year, we anticipate hosting over 50 trainings and workshops, collaborating with over 80 partner organizations, and welcoming over 3,000 people through our doors. This building will be a hub of activity, a place where ideas are born, skills are developed, and communities are strengthened.
But our vision goes beyond just serving our immediate needs. We’re committed to making this space available to other organizations at a discounted rate, addressing a critical need in Fresno for affordable event and training venues. This aligns perfectly with our mission to ensure that every neighborhood and organization has the resources they need to thrive.
Brick by Brick Building Project
To make this vision a reality, ENP is inviting the Fresno community to participate in our project dubbed, “Brick by Brick.” The name is inspired by the facade of our beautiful new building!
The Brick by Brick project has three key stages:
Phase 1: Building Improvements
This first phase is all about making the space functional for our staff and community partners. We’re updating lighting, technology, access control, painting, furniture, roof and HVAC repairs, onsite storage, signage, and more. This investment will allow us to recover the initial costs of the building and create a space that’s ready to serve.
Phase 2: Conservation
In this stage, we’re focusing on sustainability. We’ll transition the landscaping surrounding ENP’s building to be drought-tolerant, create an outdoor sitting area for meetings and training, replace the roof and add solar panels, and update the kitchen and bathrooms with new, energy-efficient appliances. These improvements will not only reduce our environmental footprint but also ensure the long-term ease of maintenance and usability of the building.
Phase 3: Sustainability
Our ultimate goal is to pay off the building entirely. Living debt-free will enable us to offer the space at a reduced rate to all, ensuring that it remains accessible to the entire Fresno community for years to come.
