Andrew Feil Executive Director

Andrew Feil is a father of four boys and is married to Denise Feil. They love and live in Fresno. Andrew is the current Executive Director at Every Neighborhood Partnership which seeks to connect churches to serve at elementary schools in one of California's most challenged districts. Andrew is a former Missions Pastor at The Well Community Church. Andrew has his Bachelors from Fresno Pacific University and a Masters from Bakke Graduate University in Social and Civic Entrepreneurship. With whatever free time he has, Andrew loves to be active, garden, read and support the best team in baseball: the Dodgers.

Joyce Harrington Associate Director

Joyce was raised in Fresno and was the first in her family to graduate from college. Obtaining a BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting she successfully worked in the corporate sector for over 15 years as a Controller. The social events which occurred in our nation in 2019 awakened Joyce to begin combining her Christian faith with the business skills she acquired to help non-profits. She took on the role of Finance Director at a statewide social justice non-profit where she excelled in Operations and Strategic Planning, helping bridge the gaps of programmatic work and back-end operations. With three amazing children in tow, Joyce is passionate about creating a world where faith, work and personal life are balanced. She believes when people are living their purpose, they strive less and are able to bring their whole selves to the workplace and have greater impact in their communities. Joyce finds refreshment, release and retreat in the expansive beauty of the Sequoia National Park and ministering to women.

Gabrielle Piceno Administrator

Gabrielle was born in Fresno, grew up and went to college in Southern California, and moved back to Fresno in 2014. She has worked with churches and non-profits in Fresno, where she developed an interest in Christian Community Development and what God is doing in Fresno. She has since made Fresno her home alongside her husband Jordan. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Grace Berg Development and Communications Coordinator

After 10 years in the church and parachurch space, Grace is excited to bring her understanding of ministry relations and communication skills to ENP. Grace grew up in Bakersfield, CA and is grateful to settle in and give back to the valley after some time away from it. After attending Cal State Channel Islands, she worked for Hume Lake Christian Camps, where she worked for Hume International, Hume’s ministry to missionary kids living and learning around the globe. Grace and her husband Matt, and their two daughters are loving living here in Fresno and are excited to listen and learn how to serve it. Grace enjoys walking with her family to their neighborhood ice cream shop, traveling, reading, and listening to podcasts.

Alejandra Santos Flores Bookkeeper / Admin Assistant

Alejandra was born in Mexico, but from a young age moved to the US and grew up in Fresno, CA. A graduate of Fresno Pacific University, she holds a BA in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Throughout the majority of her career, she has been actively involved in the nonprofit sector, driven by her passion for giving back to the community that has supported her. She is deeply committed to serving at her church, particularly in women's life groups and leading Bible studies. She lives with her husband, Jose Luis, and their two cats, Coco and Paco. In her free time, she enjoys hosting gatherings with friends, road trips, attending concerts, reading, baking health-conscious treats, and spending quality time with her family.

School Support

Jenessa Cheema School Support Director

Jenessa grew up in Madera, CA and then went on to UC Davis for her BS and University of the Pacific for an MA in Instruction and Curriculum. But where she really learned the most is during her three years in Memphis, TN as a 1st-grade teacher in the Orange Mound Community. God used the difficulties of the job, relationships with the community, and the distance from all familiarity to humble, break, and remold her heart and life. Since returning to the Central Valley in 2016, she is passionate about supporting teachers, students, and parents in pursuing an equitable and excellent education for all. Jenessa married her college sweetheart, Kushmin, in March 2022 and their daughter Ariadne was born a year later. Together they love to try new foods, take their dog Hera on walks, and go on adventures with friends.

Andrea Ricci Volunteer Staff Coordinator

Andrea was raised in the small farming community of New Cuyama, 60 miles east of Santa Maria. She is a graduate of Fresno State, and has lived in Fresno for the past 20 years. She spent the first 13 years of her professional career working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  In 2021, Andrea decided to change career paths and enter into the non-profit sector. She joined the AmeriCorps Program serving at Every Neighborhood Partnership.  After her year of service she was fortunate join the ENP team as the Volunteer Staff Coordinator.  She’s honored to serve in this community she loves, working with college students and community members alike, to create long term investment in our elementary schools and build confident readers who are affirmed and prepared for future success.

Laqusha Locke Literacy Mentor Coordinator

Laqusha, pronounced La-Que(we)-Sha, was raised in SW Fresno. Laqusha is a caring adult who is passionate about meeting the needs of the most vulnerable youth populations. She brings a wealth of knowledge and over 9 years of experience as a Youth Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County and Martin Park. She is moved to take a stand against the literacy crisis in Fresno and is committed to intervening and advocating for children and youth and providing support for teachers. In her free time she likes to play her cajon, talk about bible stories, create, listen to podcasts and enjoy dinner parties.

Sabrina Rodarte Extended Learning Coordinator

Sabrina was born and raised in the small town of Earlimart in Tulare County, CA. She has lived in Fresno since Fall of 2017 after moving here to attend Fresno State. Sabrina has been with ENP as a Read Fresno mentor and site lead since 2019, and graduated from Fresno State in 2021. Having been a Read Fresno Interim Coordinator during the Spring 2022 Semester, she wanted to continue providing support to the students and teachers ENP supports and is excited to do so as the Extended Learning Coordinator beginning June 2022. Other things she loves include sports, painting, and pyrography (wood burning).

Yang Soua Fang Extended Learning Coordinator II

Yang Soua Fang, also known as Yaaj Suav Faaj, is a first-generation Hmong American and the child of political refugees. He proudly became the first in his family to achieve a college degree, graduating with a BA in Liberal Studies from CSU Fresno. With over a decade of experience in Extended Learning, Yang Soua has been recognized for his dedication, earning the title of Fresno County’s School Superintendent’s FRESH Tutor of the Year in 2019. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Yang Soua finds joy in spending time with his family, indulging in outdoor activities like rock climbing and hiking, and sharing meals with both new and old friends. In his downtime, he enjoys revisiting his favorite shows, including Avatar: The Last Airbender and 'The Legend of Korra.

Johnny Hernandez Saturday Sports Coordinator

Hey everyone! I'm Johnny Hernandez, born in San Jose, California, and raised in Fresno/Clovis. As a first-gen American with Mexican roots, family means everything to me. Excited to join ENP! I'm a die-hard Golden State Warriors fan, coffee lover, and avid collector of vintage shirts. "The Goonies" is my top movie pick, and Japanese cuisine is my go-to. Outside of work, I'm passionate about participating on the worship team at my church. With a heart for this community, I believe the culture here is something very special, and I see a lot of growth potential in the Central Valley. I truly believe the Lord has his hand here, and I can't wait to see what He does in this community. Looking forward to contributing my skills and enthusiasm to the team!

Neighborhood Development

Christian Gonzalez Neighborhood Development Manager | Gerente de Desarrollo Vecinal

Christian Gonzalez is the eldest daughter of immigrant parents. She identifies as Mexican-American, she/her/ella. She is Fresno born and grown. In 2017 she was part of the Association of Ministry Houses - Pink House, in which her world and faith perspectives were challenged, changed, and continued to evolve. That year was also her introduction to Christian Community Development. She has worked both in ministry and in local place-making initiatives that build on adopted city plans, policies, and smart mobility streetscapes to encourage new mixed-use housing, businesses, public amenities, and jobs. She is excited to apply her skills and experience with the Neighborhood Development team as we continue to grow within the community and most importantly build in deepening relationships with residents. A few Fun Facts about her: For health purposes she now starts her days off with tea, but enjoys coffee more. For fun and mobility, you can catch her at the local latin dancing events, mostly dancing to modern bachata.

Ivan Paz Community Land Use Academy Project Manager

Ivan grew up in Fresno and is a graduate of Fresno Pacific University (FPU). Ivan majored in pre-law and in religious studies (general religion). He also has a master's degree in theology and teaches a master's level course at FPU called "Forming A Community of Mercy, Justice, and Peace", where he partners theology with community organizing frameworks to help students think deeply about community and develop plans for engagement. Ivan lives in downtown Fresno with Taz Paz, an Australian cattle dog. He has been active in community development work in Fresno for over 10 years, has launched community programs, and is a member of First Presbyterian Church Fresno. Ivan loves to draw, read, and train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Karl Gurney Community Land Use Academy Project Coordinator

Karl lived in five different cities until 2014, when he moved to Fresno to work in urban ministry. He studied Environmental Science and Urban Planning as an undergraduate, which galvanized his love for living things and inhabited places. He later earned his Master’s Degree in theology before working in Catholic parish ministry. You can still find him leading music at his parish as a volunteer, but Karl is grateful that ENP allows him to weave together his passions for justice, learning, and intercultural engagement for the sake of the city’s long-term prosperity. He lives with his wife Alyssa and their cat Koestler, and loves creating things like artwork, playlists, travel plans, and hand-prepared cups of coffee.

Angelica Platas Bilingual Health & Wellness Assistant

Angélica (Ahn-heh-lee-kah). First generation Mexican American to parents who worked hard to lay roots in California. Out of HS into non-profit tutoring opened the door of possibilities that can be provided to the community. From medical setting to non-profit career sparked a desire to connect and support locally. Zealous supporter of mental health, environmental health, nutrition and how it is all interdependent. A privileged Executive Momager, alongside being an in-home care provider. Doing my best to care for the world and the people in it through ecological and humanitarian efforts. We are all interconnected. By emphatically and earnestly working together we can create positive change for this and generations to come. Aspire for equality. Philomath, searching to listen and learn.
