Neighborhood Resources
We may be distancing ourselves from each other physically, but we can still be good neighbors! Here are some resources and suggestions for ways you can love your neighbors and neighborhood.
Pedagogy of the Oppressed: Book Review
During this COVID-19 time, ENP has had to shift some of the projects our interns are working on. One of the projects we gave our Pink House Intern, Austin Hussain was to read a book and write a short review. We wanted to share his reflections and recommend to you the book Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire. This book has influenced the way that ENP thinks through its community development work as well as how we facilitate meetings and trainings.
Food & City Wide Hubs
One of the ways that ENP has shifted its work during the COVID-19 pandemic is to begin working food access in our city. We have helped create food distributions, a food hub, and a food map.
Food Distributions
In partnership with Fresno Unified, Central California Food Bank, ENP, and many partner organizations and individual volunteers ENP is helping organize food distributions at select FUSD Schools.

ENP Donor Zoom Call (Thursday) & Email Update
Hello friends,
I pray that each of you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. This historical time that we are currently living in has been such a roller coaster of emotions. We are seeing the horrible impact of the virus, yet we also see the common unity, or Community, working together to help us all get through this.
I felt compelled to give each of you, as financial supporters, a quick update on how ENP has shifted our work since March 13th when schools announced they would close due to COVID19.
How’s “Homeschool” Going?
We want to support those of you who are trying to navigate a new “homeschool” reality, while still juggling work and all of your other responsibilities…bless your heart. Whew.
Below are some of the most useful reading websites and resources we’ve found, feel free to share!
Hoping we all come out of this a little more well-read 🙂
Where Can You Find Food On Good Friday?
Fresno Unified has been hard at work serving meals to 40,000 – 50,000 individuals every day (see sites here). We know Central, Clovis, Sanger, and the surrounding districts are working just as hard! But as you may have heard there will be no school meal distributions happening on Friday. We wanted to share a list of sites we know will be distributing food. Please let us know if you know of any more by emailing info@everyneighborhood.org.

1 – Help Healthcare Workers by Sewing Masks or Gowns
Local hospitals and clinics have dire needs for both masks and gowns. Drop off at ENP’s downtown office (1719 L St) and we will get them to our local hospital partners.

Resilient Recess Mentoring
Hey everyone, this is Amy, the Saturday Sports Coordinator for ENP.
I’m here to share a little about an idea we’ve been working on in the Recreational Resilience Department. This semester we’ve piloted a new opportunity to build resilience through kids’ favorite subject. Recess.
